Creating classes and invite links

Teachers manage their classes from My Classrooms; tutors from My Classes. Both work the same way — a directory of your classes plus a form for creating a new one — just on separate pages for each role.

Creating a class

Fill in a grade level, a class name (for example "Grade 7 Mathematics"), and — for teachers — a subject, then switch it active. If you're a tutor, you can also pick students right on this form; teachers instead add students afterward, through an invite link or their school's roster.

Creating a class takes you straight to that class's invite page — that's the natural next step, not a detour.

Inviting students

On the invite page, give the link an optional label, choose a maximum number of uses (or leave it unlimited), and set an expiry — no expiry, 24 hours, 7 days, or a custom date. Select Create invitation link to generate it. You'll get a copyable link, a Share button, and a QR code if your plan includes one.

Issuing a new link retires the old one immediately. You can also withdraw a link at any time without replacing it — either way, anyone who hasn't already joined loses access to that link right away.

When a student opens the link, they're added to the class the moment they're signed in — no extra confirmation click. Anyone else who opens it (a parent, or you checking your own link) sees a preview of the class first and has to confirm before joining.

Removing a class

Deleting a class removes its enrollments and assignments, but the students themselves stay on your roster.

If you can't create a class

If your account is still waiting on a teaching-access review, you'll see a short message in place of the create form — this only comes up if your account needs that check; most accounts never see it. If your school creates and assigns your classes for you, you won't see a "create class" option at all — that's expected, not an error.
