Signing in & password help
Enter your email (or your username, if you sign in without one — see below) and your password on the sign-in page. Tick "Keep me signed in" if you don't want to sign in again next time you open your browser; leave it unticked on a shared or public computer.
If your details don't match an account, you'll see a generic "Those details didn't match an account" message rather than being told exactly what was wrong — that's deliberate, so nobody can use the sign-in page to guess which emails have accounts.
Signing in without an email
Some student accounts are created by a teacher and don't have an email address on file. If that's you, sign in with the username your teacher gave you instead of an email.
Too many failed attempts
After several failed sign-in attempts, you'll need to wait a while before trying again. This happens automatically and isn't something support can override early.
Forgot your password?
Select "Forgot your password?" on the sign-in page and enter your email. If an account uses that address, we'll email a reset link — open it and choose a new password. You'll see the same confirmation message either way, so this step never reveals whether an account exists.
This only works for accounts with a confirmed email. If your account was created by a teacher and has no email on file, you'll see a note on your account page that a teacher needs to set a new password for you — ask them directly, since there's no email to send a reset link to.
Already signed in and want to change your password instead of resetting it? Use "Change password" from your account settings.
Email not confirmed yet
If you try to sign in before confirming your email, you'll be sent back to the confirmation step. See Creating your account for how to request a fresh confirmation link.
