Your AI allowance, explained

Your plan includes an AI allowance for things like generating lessons and asking the in-lesson tutor. Here's how it works.

The allowance meter

On your Billing page, Your AI allowance shows how much is left this billing period — for example, "{amount} left of your {total} this period." It resets at the start of each new period, and unused allowance doesn't carry over. If your plan has no set limit, you'll see an infinity mark instead of a meter.

Buying extra

Where your plan offers add-on packs, a Buy extra AI budget section lets you top up mid-period. A top-up is added to your current period and expires with it — it doesn't change your subscription or what you're billed each month. Not every plan offers this; if you don't see the section, it isn't available on your plan.

Family and sponsor plans

If your plan funds other people (for example, a family plan), Who your plan funds lets you set each person's Monthly share of the allowance, or leave it blank to split evenly. Whatever someone has already spent this month stays spent, even if you change their share afterward.

Seeing where it went

Select Usage from your Billing page for a full breakdown: cost, requests, and tokens for whatever period you pick (this month, or the last 7, 30, or 90 days), broken down by feature and by day.

There's no separate daily or weekly spending cap — the allowance for your billing period is the only limit that applies.
